Afro Creators Awards

About the Creator’s Awards

The Creator’s Awards is the premier recognition platform under the umbrella of Afri-Ball for Afro-creators in the UK and beyond, working in film, music, culture, fashion, literature and new-media.

Established to honour the brilliant minds shaping the digital and cultural landscape, these viewer’s choice awards celebrate the ingenuity, authenticity, and global impact of African creators within the diaspora and beyond.

Our Vision: A Table of Our Own

Founded by global cultural storyteller Teinye Boyle, the Creator’s Awards was born from a desire to provide African creators with a dedicated space at their own table. We believe that African stories, heritage, and creativity are not just peripheral but central to global culture.

The Three Pillars

Our mission is built upon three core pillars:

Culture: Honouring the traditions and narratives that define the African identity.
Content: Recognising groundbreaking work across digital platforms, film, music, fashion etc.
Community: Fostering a “melanin-rich” atmosphere where creators can connect, collaborate, and feel a true sense of belonging.

The Afri-Ball & Creator’s MIX Connection

The Creator’s Awards serves as the prestigious climax of the Afri-Ball, an annual Pan-African charity gala celebrated in the UK.

It is further supported by the Creator’sMix, a high-energy networking ecosystem designed to unite creative disruptors, interdisciplinary artists, and visionaries.

Why We Do It

In an era of digital transformation, African creators are rewriting the global blueprint for excellence. The Creator’s Awards ensures that this contribution is seen, heard, and rewarded, challenging every young creator to continue believing that their vision matters.
